We always had "Watch Night Services" too. The history of the Assemblies of God, the Church of God and the COG in Christ are linked historically to the the Pentecostal Revival in the US. The service we went to was just a typical New Year's Eve service which they lamely tried to make liturgical by calling it "The Eve of the Name of Jesus" service.
